What is a DOULA?

“A professional support person trained in the needs of the laboring mother and her partner during pregnancy and childbirth. The doula offers non-judgmental support, guidance, evidence based education and practical hands-on support during childbirth including comfort measures. {BIRTH DOULA}​

Unconditional support, no matter what type of birth you desire.

• Supporting Arms 27 page full color informational booklet
• Prenatal support via phone/text/email 
• Meeting to discuss birth plan and specific expectations
• 24 Hours on call beginning at 38 weeks (can accommodate for special circumstances)
• Supporting during surgical prep 
• Support during birth and recovery as available based on your care provider's and birth location's allowances
• Immediate Postpartum support based on the needs of the mother, usually approximately 2 hours
• 1 Postpartum visit scheduled at your convenience
• Postpartum and breastfeeding support via phone/text/email until 6 weeks postpartum​

For the family that is planning to meet their baby in the OR.

• ​Prenatal support via phone/text/email 
• Meeting to discuss birth plan and specific expectations
• Cesarean Date blocked off on Erica's Calendar
  
• 24 Hours on call beginning at 38 weeks (can accommodate for special circumstances)
• Support during surgical prep

For families who are walking the path of fetal loss or anticipated infant loss. 

• ​When possible, a meeting to discuss your specific situation, needs and expectations for birth
• Labor, Birth and Immediate Postpartum Support - may vary depending on the situation
• 24 Hours on call to be determined by the specific unique situation
• 1 Postpartum visit scheduled at the family's convenience *if desired*.​
